what to wear for dance class
children—loose comfortable pants: no zippers or buttons…these aren’t conducive to dance.
skirts/dresses must have long biker shorts/leggings underneath for when we do stretches, jumps, or turns.
pants are a bit of a mosquito barrier, so it makes sense to wear them in the summer for outside time (less distraction).
pajama pants are great dancewear for the children.
shirt: loose or tight fitting, but of full length (no half shirts).
shoes: no flip flops or open back shoes—let them be closed/secure on the feet.
bring water bottle
adults—either LOOSE sweatpants/pajama pants (no yoga pants or leggings) with no skirt
OR
one of the elastic waisted Indian type long skirts over leggings.
shirts for adult class: snug fitting. shoe: simple ballet shoe or similar footwear (dance shoes that leave the toes bare are great too!).
bring water bottle, notebook, and a mat, tarp, towel or blanket for stretches
