About me…

reading time 35 seconds:

I would like to keep this simple:

My first dance teacher was Louhanne Trainor. She was the best teacher because I was unable, at first, to do anything she demonstrated: how to balance, how to hold and move the arms, how to use dance to travel.

Louhanne is trained in ballet, piano,

and architecture (how fitting!)

She led me to the teachers that followed, both directly, and through her instruction, which laid the solid foundation.

I was supposed to be focusing on a different teaching degree but unforeseen(ingly) became fully immersed in dance—I had moved to where everyone one wanted to go: NYC.

Once the necessary skills were learned, combined with the default

of chance, I became dedicated to both teaching

(adults and children) and performing (professionally) dance:

small and large-scale (a number of dancers); mixed-media, puppetry too.

Does the teacher also remain a student?

Why, of course!

It was by following, diligently following each teacher, that I in turn could

be counted on to lead.

How’d I sharpen the teaching? Well—the students are directly responsible! : >

Traits/characteristics: polite, playful, focused,

Calmly energetic. Patiently determined.

Study dance and start as soon as you are able!

The effects of the study will surely infuse every part of your life.
